We are thrilled to be collaborating with a leading financial services firm in their search for a strategic Human Resources (HR) Business Partner to be based in Singapore. With foothold stretching across North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, our client takes utmost pride in their ability to offer a broad range of investment solutions (e.g. equities, alternatives), and has been achieving consistent year-over-year performance despite difficult external conditions. Since APAC will constitute a key pillar of the firm's five-year plan moving forward, the client is seeking a strategic Human Resources Business Partner with strong experience in bridging the people's agenda and business needs.
Reporting to the Regional HRBP Lead based in Singapore, you are responsible for developing and implementing supportive people programs that align with business strategies for the APAC region. Among the utmost is cultivating an environment that encourages employees to constantly seek personal and professional growth, which in turn builds up organisation capability. As a strategic barometer, you should likewise proactively be on the lookout for organisation issues that might arise - be it extant or forecasted, and advise business leaders on how such diagnoses should be approached. This includes challenging the senior management on decisions that might potentially uncouple the dyadic relationship between business competitiveness and organisation capability. At its core, this role entails a commitment towards promoting organisation effectiveness from a HR perspective, both through meaningful discussions as well as transformation projects/practices that improve the quality and efficiency of people processes.
The Successful Candidate
This role will ideally require candidates with experience working in complex, matrix organisations and having served in similar capacities (i.e. HRBP, HR Leader). Due to the highly strategic nature of this role, you should ideally bring with you both strong business knowledge, and sound understanding of Human Resources processes/practices. A proven track record of having contributed to business goals through the implementation of particular employee-capability-building measures or having undergone change management will be looked upon favourably. Strong communication skills do not simply mean listening and speaking well, but also speaking up at appropriate junctures.
