About Our Client

We have been retained by a leading US company within the hi-tech industry, to appoint a strategic and forward-thinking HR Director to lead and drive their HR strategies in Asia Pacific. With an exceptional turnover results and growth within Asia Pacific, the HR Director - APAC is a pivotal role to support and advice their leadership team on key HR roadmap and initiatives while advocating for a progressive "Employer of Choice" in the region. This role may be based in Hong Kong, Singapore or Shanghai, China.

About the Role

Reporting into the Global CHRO based in US and leading a team across Asia Pacific, the HR Director - APAC will be the trusted advisor to the leadership team where he/she will conceptualise and drive HR strategies and initiatives to support their market growth, including leading and directing all HR development activities in APAC, in line with the global strategy. The HR Director will be managing the APAC HR organization in the deployment, recruitment, people development, change management and employee relations. The HR Director should have the commercial acumen to understand, analyse and pre-empt any business insights, challenges and/or complexity of market conditions, and provide the necessary HR interventions. Amongst their HR strategies and projects, there will be a focus on their talent pool, which includes talent development, talent engagement and the talent "readiness", across diverse markets.

The Successful Candidate

We are ideally looking for a HR leader with a strong track record in supporting and driving a high growth and fast paced organization within engineering, manufacturing or similar sector, ideally with international experience. As a proven HR leader with at least 15 years of leadership experience, you have a broad knowledge of HR capabilities and best practices, coupled the ability to develop and execute insightful and meaningful HR strategies to support an evolving and dynamic organisation. You have a consultative and engaging personality, and able to influence and partner with the board and the leadership team. You have prior experience managing and developing a high performing HR team and ideally benefit from having extensive cross-cultural work experience, being culturally sensitive.
