An organisation of over 8000 employees with over 300 childcare settings both corporate and local they provide the best in early years education and care. My client is looking for a HR Director - Operations a pivotal role within the organisation and a key appointment for their Senior Leadership team.
As HR Director - Operations you will report directly to the Managing Director and have 3 direct reports, Recruitment, Professional Development and Head of HR Business Partnering with a cascading team of 48 across HR. A key leadership role in the senior management team you will be operating with a high degree of autonomy, embedding the strategic approach and significantly contributing to the effective delivery of the business' strategic objectives. You will work closely with the MD and UK Leadership team with reference to the US HR Director to develop HR and Employee Relations best practice, ensuring appropriate and creative compensation and benefits structures and employee engagement initiatives. The organisation is at the start of an exciting journey to consolidate and reshape the business to deliver service excellence for their current and prospective customers. You will be leading change and developing capability within the HR team working closely with the Head of Professional Development, operational and early childhood development teams to develop a culture of performance excellence across the company.
This role will require a driven, commercial and experienced senior level HR professional, you will have worked in a HR Director post previously and supported a team of similar size across a multi-sited organisation of a minimum 3000 headcount. Within this role you will be working with the team to streamline and create a service of excellence across HR. Covering all aspects including employee relations, performance management, recruitment and reward you will have a strong HR generalist background and be able to demonstrate high levels of performance across those core areas. You must have recent and extensive UK employment law experience having worked across complex cases in addition to recent acquisitions and divestments. You will have the ability to look at the broader picture of both HR and the business strategy alignment in order to manage the change and transformation and underlying process infrastructure. Culture is key to this organisations success and a senior leader who is business minded but emotionally intelligent is needed to help shape HR and operational excellence.
You must hold a degree and be CIPD qualified to a minimum of level 7.
Salary: £115,000 + car allowance + share options and additional benefits.
