Our client, an exciting startup SAAS company that services the creative space is seeking a regional Global HR Director to serve as a strong Deputy in the Americas and AsiaPAC to their Chief People Officer (Los Angeles based). This highly global yet fully remote position will require some travel to the home office and the potential for global travel in the long term. This role is well suited to a strong and strategic business partner who has helped with the HR maturation of highly dynamic, scaling businesses and who is also comfortable being tactical as the HR platform is stood up. With six years of success behind them, this firm's incredible creative mission assures its continued success, and its growing, values-driven HR staff will be an integral part of that. With 500 total global staff and growing across EMEA, The Americas, and AsiaPac, a nimble HR leader is required to create structure and sound talent platforms to support their multinational staff. A highly acquisitive business, the opportunity to sink your teeth into truly strategic HR transformation work is also there, and this individual will be able to develop through a variety of stretch projects in this dynamic landscape.
This role will have two direct reports supporting the more tactical HR operations work (exclusive of benefits and payroll), and Talent Acquisition as well. A confident manager who is accustomed to guiding strategic HR operational and talent models while also rolling up their sleeves and getting involved, this hire will be someone who runs on high energy, who is creative, and brimming with ideas they can put into practice without a lot of red tape. You'll grow in global visibility and strategic know-how, but will be confident enough in your skills to anchor the Americas and APAC HR function with the partnership of the Chief People Officer and skilled global counterparts based out of EMEA and serving that region.
The ideal candidate will possess:
At least 10 years' of relevant HR business partner experience, some gained in equivalent environments. with clear leadership reach and knowledge of org design and strength across HR Business Partner functions
A balance of strategic knowledge and confidence in tactical ER, talent management, development, and compensation knowledge to deploy as needed
An understanding of high-growth, dynamic, and scaling settings and experience in firms where this was the norm, ideally coupled with larger company best practices talent and performance management knowledge (9-box etc.)
Familiarity with M&A and integration work
Global exposure or ability to come up to speed here - ideal geographical experience would center in the US and AsiaPac
